A New Beginning...

...well it seems poetry has hit blogland so i figured i'd give it a try and see what i come up with...

The clouds come rolling in
darker and darker
blackening the sky
from white, to gray, to black

darker and darker still
a streak of lightening
a crack of thunder

the drops start
first a smattering
pitter patter

on the parched earth
drip drip drop

harder harder
pouring
drenching
soaking

washing
cleansing
refreshing

the clouds are rolling away
not so black
not so gray
not so white

a burst of sunshine
a sunset
the sky is a rainbow of
fiery red, golden orange

renewal
revival

all is pure and fresh
